Ported Rail Fitting

Published in the June 2012 Issue June 2012 News

Always looking for ways to improve its product, PPE Diesel recently announced that its Ported Fuel Rail Fittings are now machined on its new Mori Seiki NLX2500SY CNC machine. By taking the process in-house, PPE is able to ensure that the tolerances are exactly as intended by the PPE engineers.

Recommended for stock, high-performance and race applications, the PPE Ported Fuel Rail Fitting replaces the restrictive stock fitting, thereby increasing fuel flow volume from the CP3 pump to the fuel rail. It's this restriction that causes a fuel pressure drop, especially due to the fact that it's the left (driver's) side rail that feeds fuel to the right (passenger) side. That means if the left rail is restricted, the right will be as well and there is no way that your engine is producing all its potential power. For those running a PPE Dual Fueler system, it's highly recommended that both rails be equipped with PPE's Ported Fuel Rail Fitting to ensure that the engine is taking advantage of every precious pound of fuel pressure. Installation is as simple as unscrewing the stock unit and installing the PPE Ported Fuel Rail Fitting(s) in their place. Applications include 2004.5 to 2010 Duramax (LLY/LBZ/LMM) engines.
