Project LBZ is winding down, but there are still things to be done, modifications to make, and uncharted roads to…um, chart? Anyway, let’s see what’s been done, then we’ll focus on the next round of installs.
In A Nutshell
Part One was all about the engine. We tore it down and built it back up with all-new parts. Part Two stayed focused on performance. We added a new turbo, improved fuel injectors, a new transmission (with the help of No Zone Diesel’s Dmitri Millard), and new covers for the transmission pan and rear differential. Part Three was all about the fuel and exhaust systems, with a little exterior love thrown in. We installed taillights and headlights, a custom grille, a push bar, and LED light bars. Part Four saw us add a new suspension, lift kit, shocks, tires, wheels, steps and a bed cover.
With the lion’s share of the work done, all that’s left to do is the details that really make a truck sing. But as they say, the devil’s in the details.
