This is my 2004.5 Dodge with a 5.9L Cummins. I call her Gray Goose. I've had this truck since August of 2014 and since then I have put loads of money into it. To start, the first thing I did was put the S&B intake on it with a 4-inch straight pipe back with an 8-inch center dump tip, then I bought a Smarty SSR and a week later a transmission; that's a good old Dodge transmission for ya! It’s a fully built transmission from Outlaw Diesel Performance in Utah. They have done excellent work for me in the past.
About a year later I decided I was going to hold off on the performance mods and just go with the lifted lifestyle, so I put a 6-inch Rough Country lift with the long arm kit and a set of Fuel Kranks wrapped with 35x12.50r20 Toyo AT2s. A few months later I decided I wanted to be fast again and purchased a Steed Speed second-gen manifold with a S464 Borg Warner Turbo and an 85 percent over CP3 with 120 horsepower nozzles. Needless to say, I blew out the rings in the number three and number four cylinders so the engine is going under a full rebuild to be able to withstand some power and a heavy foot.
I've purchased some parts which include the 12-valve connecting rods, 110 pound valve springs, Smeding Diesel heavy-duty push rods, and the Hamilton 188/220 camshaft. The block is bored out 40 thousandths over stock. I’m hoping eventually I will be pushing some big power, but for now I'm sticking with the S464 until my wallet likes me again.
