Chances are this won't apply to many of you, but there's a pretty good chance that there are truckers in your family that will want to take notice. Belmor, a leading provider of heavy duty truck accessories, invites all U.S. Armed Forces veterans who are currently employed as commercial truck drivers to participate in their 2017 Belmor “I Did My Duty… Now I Drive Heavy Duty” contest. The winner of the contest will receive a three-day, three-night trip to the 2017 Mid-America Trucking Show (MATS) in Louisville, KY, on March 23–25, 2017.
Participants are invited to enter the contest by “telling us their story” and answering the following questions about their military service and their career in the heavy duty truck driving industry:
- What branch of service were you in?
- How long did you serve?
- Where did you serve?
- What was your rank and position?
- What made you decide to enter the field of heavy truck driving?
- What makes you enjoy your job and connects you to the trucking world and fellow truck drivers?
- Why would you like to win the trip to MATS?
Potential applicants have until until
January 5, 2017 to submit their story via email to this address:
BelmorVetContest2017@LIRebates.com. A panel of judges that includes representatives from the trucking industry, veteran employment agencies, and Lund International President and CEO, Mitch Fogle, will rate submissions based on such criteria as the emotional engagement of each story and the overall strength of the entrant’s answers to the contest questions. The contest's winner will be selected and announced on
February 17, 2017. For complete eligibility requirements and contest rules,
