It's easy to understand that high volumes of cool oil make for a long transmission life, and that's why BD Diesel Performance has developed a deep sump transmission pan for the 6R140 transmissions in the 2011-2019 Super Duty trucks. BD's transmission pans not only increase oil capacity by 6 quarts over the OE pan, but their aluminum construction and heat-dissipating fins keep the temperature down. The pan even has increased rigidity to prevent case twisting. At the same time, it still maintains sufficient ground clearance.
