Here's something to solve the drainage issues with the stock GM L5P Duramax oil pan. Unlike the stock pan, PPE's deep capacity oil pan has a flat, angled bottom designed for more complete drainage. This pan has higher volume that adds another two quarts of oil capacity to the engine. As your engine's fluid capacity is increased, so does its thermal stamina, which creates a longer service life. Further reducing engine temperatures is the thick, cast aluminum alloy construction of the oil pan that also features internal ribs to add strength and rigidity. Plus, PPE tapped the side of it with a convenient NPT port if you want to run a temperature sensor.
A powerful neodymium magnet-equipped billet stainless steel drain plug is also included to pull metal shavings out of the oil before they can damage your engine components.
