Prevent Cummins Exhaust Leaks and Breakage

March 2020 Products DT Staff

Most aftermarket exhaust manifold bolts are shorter than those of stock manifolds; after repeated heat cycles, they can fatigue and begin to stretch, causing exhaust leaks and breakage after several re-torques. Additionally, the finish and coating on the bolts can lead to premature corrosion and zinc embrittlement.

Replace those damaged or corroded exhaust manifold bolts with BD's 1998.5-2018 Dodge 5.9L/6.7L Exhaust Manifold Bolt & Spacer Kit to stop exhaust leaks and breakage! The kit includes class 10.9 bolts and black oxide spacers which provide thermal durability to withstand the heat. It also includes non-zinc plated fasteners to prevent zinc embrittlement. For the 2003-2007 5.9L Cummins, the factory heat shield must be removed. The kit fill fit 1994-1998 model year 5.9L engines as well with aftermarket manifolds (but not OEM manifolds).
