According to Robert Groft, his truck is the tenth fastest stock engine Duramax with a stage 4 Big Dipper transmission, Backyard Motorsports 3-inch tubes and egr delete with 3-inch Y Bridge and S&B intake, plus Diesel Addiction tuning.
Groft bought the truck four years ago and up until last November the truck had a PPE tuner and exhaust and that was it.
"I finally got the money to build the transmission and I had George Alexander out of Baltimore, Md. build my transmission," says Groft. "I also called up Diesel addiction in North Carolina to do my tuning. I raced my truck for the first time about two weeks after I bought a BullyDog and after that first pass I was hooked."
Groft admits that he still has a lot to learn, but he has caught the diesel bug and believes he'll be in the sport for a long time to come.
"I plan to fully build my engine next winter and hopefully be a contender in the new 2.6 drag racing class that they hold in Florida," says Groft.
