American Axle & Manufacturing has announced new rear axle components for a wide range of GM trucks and SUVs. AAM is one of the nation’s leading manufacturers of axle and driveshaft components and repair kits for original equipment vehicles. They’ve recently made some major changes to the rear axles for 2014 Silverados and Sierras that have resulted in new 9.5” and 9.75” ring and pinion gear set combinations and differential cases for each. The 9.5” kits are available in three different ratios: 3.08, 3.42, and 4.10. The 9.75” kit ratios available are 3.23, 3.42, and 3.73. The differential cases come in two sizes and will work for either gear set; one for 3.23 and lower gear ratios, and one for 3.42 and higher.
