Old World Industries, LLC has acquired Victory Blue, a Dallas-based diesel exhaust fluid (DEF) company. Kal Mahmood, the president and CEO of Old World, said that the acquisition will improve the efficiency of their distribution and allow the company to better serve the growing demand for DEF through all channels.
Environmental regulations that began in 2010 require the use of DEF in many diesel vehicles and off-road equipment. As older vehicles end their life cycle, and newer vehicles take their place, the use of DEF is expected to exceed two billion gallons annually.
Charles Culverhouse, the vice president of global DEF business at Old World Industries, stated, “Combining these assets with our existing infrastructure solidifies Old World’s position as the largest DEF marketer in North America.”
