Whether you want up for off-roading or down for washing or stepping, the switch gives you all the flexibility you want in controlling your PowerStep. An easy-to-install toggle switch on the dash is wired directly to the PowerStep controller. The switch has three functions: override retract (up), automatic mode (middle), and override deploy (down). Retract mode always keeps the step up, automatic mode deploys and retracts the step with the opening and closing of the door, and deploy mode always keeps the step down.
