Fluidampr shared the news that they’ve updated two popular Performance Diesel dampers for Cummins applications. These revisions affect part numbers 920301 and 920321 for 2003-2009 5.9L, and 2007.5-present 6.7L Cummins engines respectively.
The improved tapered outer housing allows the accessory drive belt to be removed and installed with the Fluidampr Performance Diesel damper in place.
A thicker mounting flange area and tighter tolerance bolt holes increase structural integrity on both dampers, of particular import for meeting the high power demands of professional sled pullers. This update also carries over to the 5.9L Competition Series damper, p/n 960341, used in custom no-pulley applications.
And new to 920301 is an integrated crankshaft position sensor tone wheel; this improved one-piece design replaces the factory tone wheel and allows for more clamping force on the crankshaft mounting flange.
These revisions were made because of feedback from professional race engine builders, performance diesel enthusiasts and work truck operators.
