The NHRDA made its annual stop at the famous Bandimere Speedway June 9 for Diesels on the Mountain. The fans were treated to record breaking performances and great sled pulling action.
The one day event started off with the Hot Shot's Secret Diesel Drag Racing Series hitting the track. In the Summit Racing Pro Street class, Jared Delekta extended his National Points lead over the rest of the class as he picked up his second win of of the year.
The PPE Super Street World Record was lowered once again by Phillip Franklin as he set the new records at 5.627 seconds and 131.27 mph. In the 10.90 Index class it was Dennis Schroeder getting his first win of the year when he defeated Chad Klocke in the final round.
Justin Rosentreter finally got that win he has been chasing for so long in the ARP Super Diesel class when he took down local hitter Kevin Larson in the final round.
The O'Reilly Auto Parts Sportsman class saw two of the biggest names in the class, Robby Bowermaster and James Erwin, facing off in the final round. It was the former World Champ, Bowermaster, getting the victory over the current National Points leader.
Ron Clifton is on fire in the Big Rig Bracket class. He picked up another victory as he continues to rack up more points in the National Points chase.
The action then switched to the sled pull track and the NHRDA Diesel Sled Pulling series as the sun started to go over the mountain at Bandimere Speedway.
In the South Bend Clutch Pro Stock class it was Rocky Horn and Southern Cumferdt taking the win in his home state getting his first ever South Bend Clutch Pro Stock win.
Amalee Mueller picked up another victory in the Limited Pro Stock class as she continues her march to the National Points Championship. The 2.5 Diesel class winner was local hitter and former World Champion Eric Whitmarsh.
The Work Stock winner was Wayne Yates, who made the long haul from Idaho. In the Pro Mod 4X4 class, William Schwarz and his Junkyard Dog took the win. Shannon Kuhlman was the winner in the Super Mod 2WD class. The Super Farm Tractor winner was Jeff Seibert and the Resurrected Deere and Gregg Urban was the winner in the Multi Engine Tractor class.
The NHRDA now heads East to Mountain Park Dragway in Clay City, Kentucky for the Thoroughbred Diesel Throwdown. Make sure you catch all the action live on Diesel TV.

PRO STREET CHAMPION—Jared Delekta showed up at Bandimere Speedway wanting to extend his National Points lead in the Summit Racing Pro Street class and he did just that. But in qualifying it was Dustin Jackson who got the extra 10 points for No. 1 qualifier but Jackson had some major damage to his motor and was unable to make it back for the finals. Delekta got the win in the final round and he was able to add points to his National Points standings.
SUPER STREET CHAMPION—Phillip Franklin is again showing the world that when it comes to the Super Street class he is the man to beat. In qualifying Franklin set a new ET World Record at 5.627 seconds and then in the final round he set a new MPH World Record at 131.27 MPH. Franklin is close to locking up the Super Street National Championship and there are still four races to go.
10.90 INDEX CHAMPION--Dennis Schroeder. In the 10.90 Index class it was the man from Strictly Diesel that went home with the trophy as he took down Chad Klocke. Schroeder's 2002 Ford was consistent all day which helped him to his first win of the year.
SUPER DIESEL CHAMPION—Justin Roesntreter has been wanting to get to the Winner's Circle for the past couple of seasons and he finally made it. Rosentreter was able to defeat former winner Kevin Larson in the final round.
SPORTSMAN CHAMPION—Robby Bowermaster. When you have a former World Champion (Robby Bowermaster) and the current National Points leader (James Erwin) facing off in the final round everyone knows it will be a great race. Bowermaster had the better light and he used it to his advantage as he was able to catch and pass Erwin for the win.
BIG RIG BRACKET CHAMPION—Ron Clifton is on a roll. He came into the event with the points lead and fresh off a win in Oklahoma. Clifton faced off with Kent Keeler in the final round. Clifton had the much better light and he used it to clinch his third win of the season.
NODRA CHAMPION—Cory Mac. In the final round of the NODRA race it pitted Cory Mac vs Todd Simpson. They both were dropping cylinders off the line but it was the Top Fuel dragster that got to the finish line first with a run of 4.537 seconds at 265.53 mph.
PRO STOCK DIESEL CHAMPION—Rocky Horn. The South Bend Clutch class saw Rocky Horn and his Southern Cumferdt entry get the win with a distance of 330.42 feet. Second place was Amalee Mueller at 308.30 ft. In 3rd place it was Colter Hess at 282.04 ft and Chad Lipari came in 4th with a pull of 265.73 ft.
LIMITED PRO STOCK CHAMPION—Amalee Mueller. The Limited Pro Stock win once again went to Amalee Mueller and her Save the Racks Dodge as she went 341.93 feet for the win. In 2nd place it was Rocky Horn and Southern Cumferdt at 340.40 ft. Third place went to Mike Meinecke with a distance of 334.74 ft and 4th place was Chad Lipari at 290.31 ft. In 5th place it was Jared Patterson at 93.04 ft.
2.5 DIESEL CHAMPION—Eric Whitmarsh put on a show for the fans as he took the long way down the sled pull track as he had the sled swinging back and forth but he finally came to a stop at 330.29 feet. In 2nd place it was Cindy Johnston with a pull of 312.36 ft and 3rd place went to Ean Madden and the Grape Ape 268.28 ft.
WORK STOCK TRUCK CHAMPION—Wayne Yates and the his Moby Dick entry took home the trophy in the Work Stock class with a distance of 314.91 feet. Bo Brodrick placed 2nd with a distance of 283.98 feet and 3rd place was Kevin McNamara at 277.27 feet.
SUPER MOD 2WD CHAMPION—Shannon Kuhlman and his Poor Boy Super Mod 2WD truck bounced their way to a victory with a distance of 207.22 feet.
PRO MOD 4X4 CHAMPION—Bill Schwarz and the Junk Yard Dog got the win in the Pro Mod 4X4 class with a distance of 309.47 feet.
MULTI ENGINE TRACTOR CHAMPION—Gregg Urban brought out both of his multi engine tractors for the fans at Bandimere Speedway and they loved it. His 2nd entry Wild Thing got the win at 311.22 feet. His tractor Get Fired Up went 274.89 feet for 2nd place.
SUPER FARM TRACTOR CHAMPION—Jeff Siebert. The Super Farm Tractors are always a great hit for the fans and this year they watched as Jeff Siebert and his Resurrected Deere get the win with a pull of 327.05 feet. Second place went to Jim Darnell at 311.06 ft. In 3rd place it was Jeff McCullough at 307.69 ft, 4th place was Dirk Bauerle at 299.17 ft and 5th place was Jeff Darnell at 289.70 ft.
