This truck is a shiny monster and it has plenty on it that’ll turn heads. Eric makes outstanding use out of his modest build, which he uses as both a daily driver and a work truck. Eric does construction work in the oil field in small town North Dakota. He definitely needs a heavy-duty pickup for that, especially as he uses the truck to haul a backhoe from site to site on a gooseneck trailer. While the truck does get quite dirty on the job, it cleans up extremely well at the vehicle wash for when Eric uses it for daily driving.
To start things off, this truck uses compound turbos (S475 over stock) from Maryland Performance Diesel. With that setup comes boost that will blow you off your feet (not literally, though, but you know what we mean). The compounds don’t require any major engine mods or reconfiguration, so they’re a great solution for those who want ultimate boost without breaking the bank. Other mods from Maryland Performance include intercooler piping and CCV reroute kits to help ensure the best airflow possible. “My truck is an absolute work horse with lightning fast spool-up that makes it an all-around fun truck to drive,” Eric says.
The rest of the mods on Eric’s Power Stroke include an Edge CTS2 Custom tuner with SOTF, a 2-inch leveling kit with FOX shocks, a BDS dual steering stabilizer with FOX shocks, a Firestone Ride Rite air bag system, Thunderstruck front and rear bumpers, 4-inch Jamo exhaust, and 20-inch SOTA AWOL wheels with 35-inch Cooper ST Maxx tires. While his Power Stroke retains the stock CP4 common rail pump, he uses an Exergy Fuel System Saver to protect it from failures. To address that in the future, he plans to do a CP3 conversion. Other future mods he has planned include a built transmission along with CalTracs performance traction bars.
