Although modest, this is a well-built 2016 LML Duramax flatbed. Owned by Randy Strong of Shelley, Idaho, this Chevy 3500HD is incredibly well kept up and has very low miles. While looking like a work truck especially with its many storage boxes on the side of the bed, this black beast is actually used a bit more recreationally. Being a Z71 model, it’s fairly high-end; to go along with that, it has a sunroof and electrical sliding rear window. The flatbed has a fifth wheel hitch and is used to haul trailers of various types. Randy also goes boating, so he uses the truck to haul his vessel. In addition, the truck spends a lot of time in the backcountry as Randy goes duck and goose hunting.
The exterior and performance upgrades include a light bar on top of the bed’s headache rack, a Pro Comp 6-inch suspension, an air bag system, Toyo Open Country 35-inch M/T tires, Hostile 20-inch wheels, and a FASS fuel filter system. On the inside are camouflage seat covers and floor mats. Although Randy didn’t build this truck himself, he did add to it. “This was a midlife crisis buy,” he laughs. “To be honest, most of the upgrades were done prior to me buying it, but I am adding goodies as I go.”
