This truck has sure been through a lot! Eddie Hall of upstate New York bought this truck roughly three years ago and has been slowly building it up. “This truck is from Tennessee and as far as I know it hasn’t been driven in a winter yet,” Eddie says. “I bought it basically bone stock aside from adding injectors, a BorgWarner S300 turbo, braided transmission lines with a Derale cooler, and a FASS Titanium pump. Unfortunately I burned up the transmission shortly after.” Luckily he was working at a friend’s transmission shop and was able to build the transmission with a RevMax rebuild kit, BD Diesel Performance valve body and a SunCoast single disc billet converter. The truck started off as his tow pig, so he put a B&W gooseneck underbed system on it. Last year, Eddie had a 5.5-inch Rough Country lift along with 20-inch Fuel two-piece Maverick wheels wrapped in Falken Wildpeak AT/2 tires installed. Unfortunately, more trouble came along as his hood flew open and got bent. Because of that, he completed a sport front end swap and also took the S300 off recently and put on a Fleece S463 along with a BD Diesel Pulse three-piece manifold.
“When COVID hit this year I contacted a friend with a heated shop and we tore the truck down and repainted it,” he says. “It’s the stock PR4 with Sunset Metallic Pearl. We also took the mirrors and door handles apart and color-matched them and put all-new light housings and LEDs in. The truck still has a ways to go but it’s getting better every year.”
