Half an hour predicted time frame, a solid one rating on the skill level needed—what more could you ask for in a simple DIY project? The rear-mount TrekStep makes life a lot easier and it starts with the install. Using basic tools the process really is as easy as predicted.
The TrekStep retails for $169, which seems like a fair price considering you no longer will have to use the step indent found on a lot of those new pickup bumpers. It’s built to last with a black powder coat finish to prevent rust or corrosion and the mounting brackets are made of high-strength, die-cast aluminum alloy. Backed by a limited three-year warranty, the bolt-on TrekStep can support up to 300 pounds of weight on the extruded aluminum non-skid plate. Unless you’re a gymnast or a lot more flexible than I am, it’s probably a good idea to look into this Bestop product if you’re looking for an easier way to gain access to the bed of your truck.
