2008 Chevy 2500 HD
Over the past two decades Jesse Baldwin has owned 10 diesel trucks and has made them a major part of his life and livelihood. Owner and director of operations at Iron Bull Bumpers in Casa Grande, AZ, Baldwin not only uses his trucks for daily drivers, but also for R&D of his vast line of bumpers.
His 2008 Chevy 2500 HD is not only a daily driver, but also his SEMA show truck. He’s also working on four other trucks for SEMA which are in various stages in the completion process.
Baldwin has owned his 2008 Chevy for five years and has used it to promote Iron Bull Bumpers by displaying his product at various shows. Although he started out by just showing bumpers and grill guards on his truck, he soon realized that he could do more to the truck to make it stand out.
“I just wanted more,” Baldwin explained. So with the bumpers he added a 12-inch Rize Industries lift with its LeverageLink custom front shock setup. Then came Doetsch shocks all the way around and 40-inch Toyo tires with 22-inch custom engraved rims by Steele Baldwin that took 25 hours of work each.
The Iron Bull Bumpers feature a front with Interrogation front grille guard and a rear with tail light guards. It also has front and rear cameras. Then Baldwin built a custom 54-inch overhead LED light rack with tire carrier.
Then he added a custom rear hitch built to house a Warn 16.5 winch. Finally, he added a 5-inch Cat Back MBRP exhaust and EFILive with PPEI custom tuning.
In all, he added about $30,000 in accessories to improve his truck to promote Iron Bull Bumpers … and enhance his driving experience. Most of the work he did himself. But he did get a little help from Rize Industries, Valley Spring Service (Phoenix, AZ) and Audio Masters (Douglas, AZ).
The 2008 Chevy creates a natural attraction for his business. With its modifications, Baldwin says he’s a little surprised by the number of people who are drawn to it.
